[Amerigo Gazaway: Verse 1] Let’s go, back with the force of thousand men Cop the new album for less than a thousand yen And vibe to it, cruise in your ride to it Ain’t nobody else that can do it like I do it kid See I ain’t the type to pull them things out, But when I kick a rhyme it might just blow your brains out A lot of rap is wack, I ain’t calling names out They fell off, kinda funny, ain’t it strange how Money changes situation Flip and rearrange the whole equation I’m so ill with it they can’t even deal with it Won’t stop ‘til my crew number one in the nation Ayo, I don’t really think they know who they up against Anytime Amerigo & Po linkin up again (facts) It’s guaranteed, solid, 10 out of 10 Go head, share it, blog it, tell a couple friends [Amerigo Gazaway: Hook] One time for the people in front, gettin’ crunk Here to give you what you want One time for the people in the back Hands up, let me see you, where you at? And one time for the people on the side Looking shy, is you really trying to vibe? And one time for the haters And anybody whoever said that we’d never make it Napoleon Da Legend: Verse 2] Out for the bag and a mountain of cash We out back, in the yard and we counting the stash The early bird’ll get the worm, so we learned to be fast  Cause the last shall be the first and the first shall be last Catch whiplash, when you see the whip drive past  They heard the last album I dropped they quit that fast  We some dream chasers switch up my street got new neighbors  Every other week we dropping a new flava  True playa for real, ask somebody who knows I got name that rings bells with somebody you know  That was a style for last year, now I got a new flow  Was in the rear now I’m stepping at the front of the row  Known as the incredible phenomenal king Never playing small games I ain’t time for these things We master plan it mash planet we outlandish  Stamp it, seal it and brand it, I’m a champion [Amerigo Gazaway: Hook] One time for the people in front, gettin’ crunk Here to give you what you want One time for the people in the back Hands up, let me see you, where you at? And one time for the people on the side Looking shy, is you really trying to vibe? And one time for the haters And anybody whoever said that we’d never make it Amerigo Gazaway: Verse 3] It ain’t even a question man they already know Every single mic that I touch turns into gold I don’t ever hold a grudge or wish death to my foes I just show ‘em to the door like when the register closed Yo, don’t let it hit ya where the sun don’t shine Sometimes you gotta let go of folks and cut those ties I love music and I do it with the upmost pride Now get live, let me hear you say it one more time [Amerigo Gazaway: Hook] One time for the people in front, gettin’ crunk Here to give you what you want One time for the people in the back Hands up, let me see you, where you at? And one time for the people on the side Looking shy, is you really trying to vibe? And one time for the haters And anybody whoever said that we’d never make it

[Amerigo Gazaway: intro] Full circle, full circle, full circle Full circle, full circle, full circle [Amerigo Gazaway: Verse 1] Sometimes I sit and reminisce, on night like this Catch a vibe and get inspired when I write like this It’s therapeutic, it’s truly a blessing to share this music Times are stressful but I know that we’re destined for brighter futures No excuses, It’s just a matter of time The revolution is what’s happening inside of your mind Id you allow it, I’ve seen people with talent, their vision clouded Overcome by lust, greed, money and power, Spent countless hours in the lab, perfecting the craft In the past, I used to just obsess over tracks Now I hit record, bounce it down, press it on wax Put it out and keep it moving like directional pads The soul controller, spinning jazz records on an old Victrola Looking for the perfect soulful loop that I can rap over Now fast forward ‘bout 15 years Artists that idolized I now consider my peers It’s full circle [Amerigo Gazaway: Hook] Full circle, full circle, full circle What goes around comes around Full circle, full circle, full circle And what goes up must come down Full circle, full circle, full circle As the world turns, as the world burns Full circle, full circle, full circle I’m just trying to pass on what I’ve learned [Napoleon Da Legend: Verse 2] Im a live and die this, was born supremely biased The type of timing I’m on, nobody can’t deny it Nah floating over obstacles in autopilot They wanna criticize a boss, but yo I never mind it My shine a leave ‘em blinded, I gas ‘em like hybrid We keep the business private catch me on the corner sliding Misleading no one you can miss me with that Always moving in back channels stay privy with that State of the art with techniques stay tricky with that Unpredictable witty that’s where I really been at I love the thrill of it creating just deliver the vibe Some a dying na live this life some are living na die Some living a lie, but not I, I’m being myself I said Bye Bye to negative it’s freedom I felt And nothing else can compare when I’m staring at the mirror And how I feel inside of me matches exactly my appearance [Amerigo Gazaway: Hook] Full circle, full circle, full circle What goes around comes around Full circle, full circle, full circle And what goes up must come down Full circle, full circle, full circle As the world turns, as the world burns Full circle, full circle, full circle I’m just trying to pass on what I’ve learned [Awon: Verse 3] I’m rather unique, cipher complete I was defined by the streets, refined by the beats The elephant in the room, a quiet beast Off the iron leash, ionize the speech Magneto flow with electrons in the reach So you could die in sleep or try to hold the heat and still get twisted Life’s about choices and it helps if you are gifted I plan to ride the boat, sailing wherever it is driftin’ Constant elevation is the mission my position Or opinion doesn’t matter, without a pot to piss in With a trigger finger itchin’ for the shiny things that glisten My inner vision see’s the contradiction of my aura These days I’m in the crib watching cartoons with my daughter In the ‘burbs with the manicured lawns because of hip-hop All I ever wanted from emceeing was big props I got the game locked, I write to raindrops Sip until the pain stops, it’s a shame no one in the lane could claim hot [Amerigo Gazaway: Hook] Full circle, full circle, full circle What goes around comes around Full circle, full circle, full circle And what goes up must come down Full circle, full circle, full circle As the world turns, as the world burns Full circle, full circle, full circle I’m just trying to pass on what I’ve learned

about

Cavendish Archive and Soul Mates Records are pleased to announce the upcoming release of ‘Cavendish Reimagined: Amerigo Gazaway Edition’ - a sun-soaked, soulful collection of golden age hip-hop sampled entirely from '60s and '70s records from the Boosey & Hawkes and Cavendish Music archive. Produced and performed by Amerigo Gazaway of Soul Mates Records, with additional rap performances from a range of lyricists including Napoleon Da Legend, Dillon and Awon.

Listen to the lead single 'We Ain't Playin' (feat. Dillon), pre-order the digital/CD and stay tuned for the full album dropping 6/7/24.

“As a record collector and hip-hop producer, I’ve always had a special affinity for library and production music from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s (especially the Boosey & Hawkes collection, which many of us DJs and sample hunters have become familiar with on our digging expeditions). While most library records are originally made with the intention of being used in film soundtracks, commercials and TV, they have also become an endless source of inspiration and sample material for some of hip-hop’s greatest producers and crate diggers.

Library music holds a special place in my heart, because I believe it often possesses a certain level of artistic freedom, musicianship, and an experimental quality rarely found in other more traditional forms of music. These were players and artists who were not attempting to make pop radio ‘hits’ - instead they were trying to enhance the overall emotional and narrative elements of the stories being told on-screen.

So when Cavendish Music reached out to me to see if I wanted to delve into their infinitely vast catalog, it was like a producer’s ‘dream come true’ and an offer I couldn’t refuse. To make things a little more interesting, I challenged myself to write original rap lyrics for each track and enlisted a handful of my favorite emcees and collaborators to join me for the ride. I hope you enjoy the results!”
